An estimated 9 out of every 10 homes in North America have inadequate attic ventilation systems. Inadequate attic ventilation can often be attributed to homes having little or no intake ventilation. Efficient attic ventilation systems are similar to the human body. Intake ventilation provides the cool, fresh air into the system, similar to the body inhaling. Exhaust ventilation (commonly ridge vents) allows the moist warm air to exhaust from the system, similar to the body exhaling.

Petersen Aluminum offers its PAC Solar Series, an innovative method of energy generation in conjunction with the proven performance of standing seam metal roofing panels.
The high-tech system is actually rather simple: Adhere a thin-film amorphous silicon (A-Si) laminate directly to the standing seam metal panel at the factory, and install the metal panels as you would with any typical standing seam installation. An electrical or Photovoltaic (PV) contractor provides the balance of components and hooks up the system, and the job is complete.
